Female Infant Refuge

On June 2007 one family killed a 4 day old, baby girl in front of their home. The neighbors asked them, "Where is your baby?" They told them that she died because she was sick. We buried her yesterday night. The people knew that they had killed the baby. However, someone informed the police. The next morning the police came to the house and asked the parents where did you hide your baby? How did she die? They gave some complicated answers that the police didn’t believe. The parents were arrested. The police demanded an answer from the husband. Finally he told the truth. The couple was newly married and was expecting a boy. But they had a baby girl. On his side of the family girl babies are looked down upon. Girls bring a lot of financial expenses when they are older. Also girls are known as a curse to the family. They tried to kill her as soon as she born, but many people were watching them in the hospital. The 3rd day they left the hospital and came to home. Then they started discussing how they could kill the baby! They tried to leave her in the dustbin, but some people were sitting there. So that wasn't an option. They used different method.

At midnight they gave "poison to the baby". After 20 minutes the baby died, then they dug a hole in the ground and buried her. The grandmother gave the poison to the baby. Police arrested the three of them and put them in jail. Then they released the baby’s mother, because she had only had the baby 6 days prior. After 2 weeks they arrested her and put her in jail.
